About The Advocacy Project

We help the most marginalised and vulnerable people in London make effective choices about what happens in their lives. We also support them to speak up and help improve important services we all need. We want to make sure people across all age and care groups – including learning disability and mental health – can:

  • voice their concerns
  • understand their rights
  • make effective choices about what happens in their lives

We do this through advocacy services which support people individually, and user involvement projects that help organisations improve the services they offer.

About the role

We are growing and developing as an organisation and want to enhance our capacity in line with current and future trends. We have a well deserved reputation for delivering high quality advocacy and are searching for an exceptional Forensic Advocacy Manager (High Secure) to work in the high secure units at Broadmoor Hospital.  As one of only three high secure forensic hospitals in the country, Broadmoor has approximately 212 male patients most of whom are involved with the criminal justice system, the courts and prison system and many have Ministry of Justice restrictions imposed.

You will lead a skilled, motivated and passionate team of five advocates providing a high quality accessible IMHA service to the patients at Broadmoor.

You’ll join a highly committed, people centred organisation with a track record of growth and reputation for innovation, quality and learning. And you’ll be leading a highly skilled and deeply motivated team. You will see we are proud of our vibrant positive working culture and our commitment to staff development and training.
