Advocacy during Covid-19

Advocacy support is especially important during the Covid-19 pandemic. We’re continuing to run all our advocacy services.

Our advocates can talk with people:

  • by phone
  • by video call, for example on Zoom or WhatsApp
  • by email
  • face-to-face, if needed and it’s safe to do so.

Advocacy is crucial at a time when people may be facing decisions about medical treatment or changes in care. The legal duty for professionals to refer people for advocacy still applies during the pandemic. You must continue to make advocacy referrals.

See the factsheet for professionals about the importance of making referrals.

See theĀ factsheet for service users about advocacy during coronavirus.

If you need to arrange advocacy support for yourself or someone else, fill in the online referral form. You can also call us on 020 3960 7920 or email
