Healthwatch

We believe everyone deserves to be heard. Through our Healthwatch services we make sure people can speak up about their experiences with health and social care – and be listened to.

What is Healthwatch?

Healthwatch is the independent champion for people who use health and social care services. Across England, 151 local Healthwatch organisations help shape better care by gathering real stories, highlighting issues, and influencing decision-makers.

We host Healthwatch Brent, Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea, and Healthwatch Westminster. Each team is embedded in its community, working with residents, grassroots groups, local councils and NHS providers to drive improvements and share trusted information about local services.

Our Healthwatch teams also have a statutory power to carry out Enter and View visits, speaking directly with patients and staff to understand how services are working and recommend changes where needed. They also offer advice and signposting, helping people access care and know their rights when things go wrong.

Healthwatch turns people’s voices into action – making it a vital form of advocacy and a perfect expression of our vision: a world in which every person has a voice.
