About this service

Our Mental Health User Involvement Service is part of Reach Out Camden – an alliance of: Mind in Camden, Likewise, VoiceAbility and The Advocacy Project

Together, we’re working to make sure that people with lived experience of mental health challenges are at the heart of how local services are designed, delivered, and improved.

What we do

The Advocacy Project supports Lived Experience Advisors (LExAs) within Reach Out Camden. These Advisors play a key role in shaping mental health services in Camden and supporting co-production – working directly with Reach Out Camden’s Leadership and Management Teams to make sure services are accessible, effective, and truly responsive to people’s needs.

Where is it available?

Our LExAs all live in Camden and have first-hand experience using community mental health services such as those provided by Mind in CamdenLikewise, and VoiceAbility. Their insights and expertise help guide meaningful change across the borough.

Why it matters

Services are stronger and more effective when they’re shaped by the people who use them. If you have experience of mental health services in Camden, there are opportunities to get involved and influence the future of local support. You can share your opinions, feedback, and ideas, and advocate for positive change alongside others in your community.
