Everyone’s voice should be heard
At The Advocacy Project, we believe everyone deserves to have their voice heard and their rights respected.
Sometimes, people need advocacy support but don’t meet the criteria for a free referral from their local authority or health authority.
We wish this support were available for free to everyone but, sadly, that isn’t always the case.
So where you can’t access statutory advocacy, or if you’d simply prefer to purchase the service directly yourself, our Paid Advocacy service is here to help.
We can help you to support a loved one who is navigating health or social care services. For example you may:
- Have a family member who needs more care at home and you need someone to help you understand their rights.
- Be a parent of a young adult with care and support needs who still lives at home, but wishes to explore more independent living.
- Have a parent in hospital where professionals are proposing discharge into a care home rather than returning home and you want to understand what to expect from health and social care services and the legal framework around decision making.
If you need someone who is always on your side, someone who knows the health and care systems inside out, and who can give you confidential, person-centred support that empowers you to take control of your situation, then our Paid Advocacy service could be for you.
